My role with VPSI started from a very different position than most of the management team. VPSI was the primary client of the company I worked for called Cardinal Automotive. At Cardinal I was responsible for managing VPSI’s van product development, engineering and design. In November of 2001 I was afforded an opportunity to become part of the VPSI team. Knowing what I knew about VPSI, its goals and what the executive management team stands for, I gladly joined the team.
Years ago (…more years than I’d like to admit) I began my career in the automotive industry upon the completion of my undergraduate studies in economics and business administration at Hillsdale College in beautiful Hillsdale, Michigan. During the first decade of my career I traveled the world representing a diverse group of suppliers to the “Big Three” Ford, GM and Chrysler. During that time, I learned product design, engineering, manufacturing, quality systems management, and a whole lot about sales and customer satisfaction. Over time my focus honed in on product quality and quality systems management. My personal interests in this area lead me to work for Cardinal Automotive and as I mentioned, during that time that I had the opportunity to meet Jeff Henning. Jeff and I share the common goal of making the safest and most comfortable commuter van available in the industry.
Today, as Vice President of Fleet Operations I continue to oversee VPSI’s product design and development, manage the Company’s OEM supply partnerships with various auto manufacturers and our vehicle modifier, and provide guidance to a great team of folks who handle VPSI’s vehicle maintenance programs. Our aim is first, make sure the product in which you ride is safe and second, do the very best we can to have the comfort and features you desire for your commute.
